Family two is a young mother with three children
Maria and her family are currently living in a 10'x10' tin roof house. Due to their limited ability to pay rent they were forced to build what they could so they could have a place to dwell. Maria has a 13-year-old son with serious asthma health problems. Her husband, Miguel, fixes shoes in the city, they don't make much and can't afford to build something better.

On November 29, 2022 she received a call of her house being on fire. Her old, rotten, wooden structure caught fire due to an electrical short cut.
The fire consumed everything. For a few months a very gracious neighbor let her family stay in his unoccupied wooden shed until she could build something new. She still has no new home.

Sandra & Angel Duarte with their five children and one grandson lost their house in a fire, everything was burned. The only clothes they had were the clothes they wore that day. She heard we were building houses and immediately asked us for help.
